1 Samuel 7:3 Then Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying, “If you return to theLord with all your heart, remove the foreign gods and the Ashtaroth from among you and direct your hearts to the Lord and serve Him alone; and He will deliver you from the hand of the Philistines.”

2 Chronicles 7:14 and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Relationship with God

2 Peter 3:18(NASB)      18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen

Proverbs 4:23 (NASB)      23 Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life.

Bless my man

Proverbs 15:33 (NASB)    33 The [a]fear of the Lord is the instruction for wisdom,  And before honor comes humility.

Ephesians 6:6 (NASB)     not [a]by way of eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from the [b]heart.

Love me deeply

Colossians 3:19 (NASB)  19 Husbands, love your wives and do not be embittered against them.

Ephesians 5:25-29 (NASB)     25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her,26 so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,27 that He might present to Himself the church [a]in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless. 28 So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself; 29 for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church,

1 Peter 3:7 (NASB)    You husbands in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with [a]someone weaker, since she is a woman; and show her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered.

Spiritual Leader of our family

1 Corinthians 11:3 (NASB)     But I want you to understand that [a]Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of [b]Christ.

Have a heart for his children

Ephesians 6:4 (NASB)    Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

Colossians 3:21(NASB)    21 Fathers, do not exasperate your children, so that they will not lose heart.

Emotional Mental and Physical health

Romans 12:1-2 (NASB)    Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, [a]acceptable to God, which is your [b]spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this [c]world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may[d]prove what the will of God is, that which is good and [e]acceptable and perfect.

1 Corinthians 6:19 (NASB)   19 Or do you not know that your body is a [a]temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from [b]God, and that you are not your own?

Wise Choices

Galatians 5:13-15 (NASB)     13 For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. 14 For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in thestatement, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 15 But if you bite and devour one another, take care that you are not consumed by one another.

Power to resist sexual temptation

Proverbs 15:5 (NASB)    A fool [a]rejects his father’s discipline,  But he who regards reproof is sensible.

Song of Solomon 7:10(NASB)   The Union of Love   10 “I am my beloved’s,  And his desire is for me.

Ephesians 5:3-5(NASB)     But immorality [a]or any impurity or greed must not even be named among you, as is proper among [b]saints; and there must be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. For this you know with certainty, that no [c]immoral or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.

Prosperity at work

1 Corinthians 15:58(NASB)   58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.

Show my husband respect, grace and kindness

Proverbs 31:11-12 (NASB)   11 The heart of her husband trusts in her,   And he will have no lack of gain.   12 She does him good and not evil   All the days of her life.

Tested and Approved

Approved in Christ – Romans 16:10

The thing I know most about seasons —  is that God made them to change.

And it is in the passing through them, the move from one season to the next, that true beauty is brought forth.                                                                                                                         Laura Boggess

Sure — the world says you are what you do. But the Word says you are Whose you are. And what we do ultimately flows out of who & Whose we are.

So our Being must have precedence over our Doing —  because it’s our Being that will ultimately express itself in our Doing.

Greet Apelles, approved in Christ.”

-End of Romans

Romans 16 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Greetings and Love Expressed

16 I commend to you our sister Phoebe, who is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea;that you receive her in the Lord in a manner worthy of the saints, and that you help her in whatever matter she may have need of you; for she herself has also been a helper of many, and of myself as well.

Greet Prisca and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus, who for my life risked their own necks, to whom not only do I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles; also greetthe church that is in their house. Greet Epaenetus, my beloved, who is the first convert to Christ from Asia. Greet Mary, who has worked hard for you. Greet Andronicus and Junias, mykinsmen and my fellow prisoners, who are outstanding among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me. Greet Ampliatus, my beloved in the Lord. Greet Urbanus, our fellow worker in Christ, and Stachys my beloved. 10 Greet Apelles, the approved in Christ. Greet those who are of the household of Aristobulus. 11 Greet Herodion, my kinsman. Greet those of the household of Narcissus, who are in the Lord. 12 Greet Tryphaena and Tryphosa, workers in the Lord. Greet Persis the beloved, who has worked hard in the Lord. 13 Greet Rufus, a choice man in the Lord, also his mother and mine. 14 Greet Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermes, Patrobas, Hermas and the brethren with them. 15 Greet Philologus and Julia, Nereus and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints who are with them. 16 Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ greet you.

17 Now I urge you, brethren, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrancescontrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them. 18 For such men are slaves, not of our Lord Christ but of their own appetites; and by their smooth and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting. 19 For the report of your obedience has reached to all; therefore I am rejoicing over you, but I want you to be wise in what is good and innocent in what is evil. 20 The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.

The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.

21 Timothy my fellow worker greets you, and so do Lucius and Jason and Sosipater, my kinsmen.

22 I, Tertius, who write this letter, greet you in the Lord.

23 Gaius, host to me and to the whole church, greets you. Erastus, the city treasurer greets you, and Quartus, the brother. 24 [The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.]

25 Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept secret for long ages past,26 but now is manifested, and by the Scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God, has been made known to all the nations, leading to obedience of faith; 27 to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, be the glory forever. Amen.

Ecclesiastes 3 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

A Time for Everything

There is an appointed time for everything.

And there is a time for every event under heaven—

A time to give birth and a time to die;
A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted.
A time to kill and a time to heal;
A time to tear down and a time to build up.
A time to weep and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn and a time to dance.
A time to throw stones and a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace and a time to shun embracing.
A time to search and a time to give up as lost;
A time to keep and a time to throw away.
A time to tear apart and a time to sew together;
A time to be silent and a time to speak.
A time to love and a time to hate;
A time for war and a time for peace.

9 What profit is there to the worker from that in which he toils?

10 I have seen the task which God has given

the sons of men with which to occupy themselves.

God Set Eternity in the Heart of Man

11 He has made everything appropriate in its time.

He has also set eternity in their heart,

yet so that man will not find out the work which God

has done from the beginning even to the end.

12 I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and to do good

in one’s lifetime;

13 moreover, that every man who eats and drinks sees good in all his

labor—it is the gift of God.

14 I know that everything God does will remain forever;

there is nothing to add to it and there is nothing to take from it,

for God has so worked that men should fear Him.

15 That which is has been already and that which will be has already been,

for God seeks what has passed by.

16 Furthermore, I have seen under the sun that in the place of justice

there is wickedness and in the place of righteousness

there is wickedness.

17 I said to myself, “God will judge both the righteous man

and the wicked man,” for a time for every matter and for

every deed is there.

18 I said to myself concerning the sons of men, “God has surely

tested them in order for them to see that they are but beasts.”

19 For the fate of the sons of men and the fate of beasts is the same.

As one dies so dies the other; indeed, they all have the same breath and

there is no advantage for man over beast, for all is vanity.

20 All go to the same place. All came from the dust and

all return to the dust.

21 Who knows that the breath of man ascends upward and

the breath of the beast descends downward to the earth?

22 I have seen that nothing is better than that man should be happy in his

activities, for that is his lot. For who will bring him to see

what will occur after him?

Lord, when the seasons are passed away all I want is to be tested and

approved by you. I want to be beautiful in Your sight.

If that is how I am remembered by You I will be complete,

made whole and forever in Your presence!

Purify me through the tribulations and sorrows in my life.

Give me the grace to glorify You, so that Your glory can be seen

through me. I desire to be Yours wholly, let my being be – IN You.

Let my worth rest in You and not in myself.

Whether I eat or drink or whatever I do, let me do all for the glory

of You dear Lord. In my aching let me glorify you.

Thank you for bringing me to You, drawing me close to You.

Let me find my complete worth in You, not in the world and how

the world might measure success.  I was created to glorify You,

not to show myself approved unto the world and their standards.

Let me humbly come before You,

seeking Your approval  as the measurement of success.

Your Servant,

Luke 17:15-19 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

15 Now one of them, when he saw that he had been healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice, 16 and he fell on his face at His feet, giving thanks to Him. And he was a Samaritan. 17 Then Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But the nine—where are they? 18 [a]Was no one found who returned to give glory to God, except this foreigner?” 19 And He said to him, “Stand up and go; your faith [b]has made you well.”

One returned to thank

“Rise and go; your faith has made you well” — ‘Having risen,

Be going on, thy faith has saved thee.’ (Young’s literal trans.)

SAVE THEE?

“Sozo”  in the Greek = made well or whole, but it literally means “to save” = Salvation

True wellness or complete wholeness to live. Sozo is to live the full life.

WHEN did the leper receive the full, whole life?

When he returned and gave thanks.

Our very saving is associated with our GRATITUDE!

(p. 41 in 1000 Blessings)

I want (give to) “the world healthy, holy citizens who (will) spread their influence”.

—Me

**********

Dear Lord,

This is the true desire of my heart.  To give the world… Or may I correct myself –  to give You healthy, holy citizens who will spread their love for You to all that they come in contact with; with the world.

May I not work in my own strength but in Yours.  These are Your warriors, guide me in how to raise them. Give me wisdom and discernment in teaching them.  Help me to give all the glory to you dear Lord.  Continue to humble me as You see the need.

Mostly give me grace and peace.  Encourage me in the ways that ONLY You know how to do.
